Preventure Considerations

You should consider the following:

  • What exactly is my product or service?

  • Have I identified the buyers of my products/services?

  • How do I reach my buyers?

  • Do I have experience and contacts in this field and have I identified key personnel?

  • Have I tested to be sure they will buy?

  • Have I identified the sources of my products and/or supplies?

  • How much money will I need to start?

  • Where do I plan to get the necessary dollars?

  • If I am planning to borrow funds, how good is my credit?

  • Do I have a minimum of 20% of funds needed in cash?

  • Do I realize I must secure a bank loan with my house?

  • Have I an accurate list of my monthly expenses?

  • How much do I have to sell weekly to meet my expenses and is this amount realistic to anticipate?

  • How much do I need personally from the business to live?

  • What is the attitude of my spouse and other family members regarding this venture?
